      A couple of times. The most serious was when I cut my hand during an experiment and had to go to hospital to have stitches. It wasn’t that bad.

      Thankfully not seriously, the odd cut from glassware perhaps. We work very hard to keep risk to a minimum and one of the important things when working as a scientist is to think about the risks involved with your experiments and how to protect yourself and others.

      I have broken my wrist and my collar bone in separate incidents while cycling to work though.
