• Question: If you just had a few minutes to explain why you want to win and why I should vote for you- What would you say?

      I’d like to spend the money on attending a conference so that I can present my work to other scientists. Presenting your work at conferences is an important aspect of research, but it can be difficult to pay for things like travel, as important conferences are often in other countries. Going to a conference would give me the chance to publicise my work, meet other scientists and hopefully make new contacts and get useful input.

      I think you should vote for whoever you think should have the money, and this may or may not be me. This event is an opportunity for you to talk to scientists about what it is like to be a scientist and I hope you find it interesting and useful.

      My aim is not to win necessarily but to chat with as many of you as I can during the event and to talk to you about science and what it is like to be a scientist.

      I am working as volunteer visiting researcher (That means I do not get money from my research). So my research do not earns me livelihood. I teach students that is how I am able to manage myself. As I teach them I got to know what things will be beneficial for them, in educating them and making their understanding clear about basics of science. When I teach science, I give examples which are easier to understand and students can correlate them with known things. So they understand scientific fundamentals in easy language rather than technical language. The website on which I am working is based on this analogy that instead of using technical language, it is in easy, understandable form. I am saving money for this cause from my earnings but If I win I can utilize this money and bring this site online soon otherwise it will take time.

      Otherwise it is a good experience talking to students. It is fun and very much exciting. I am loving it!
