• Question: is it true that if u cover the shara desert in soler panels ,it would be able to give eletricity to the how world ,to use!?

      The sahara desert is huge and it gets a lot of sunlight all year round, so a lot of electricitiy could be obtained by covering it in solar panels. I’m not sure if it would be enough for the whole world, but it could be.

      The problem is that you would have to get the electricity to where it is needed. A lot of energy is wasted when you transfer electricity, and the further you have to transfer it the more you lose. So to transfer the electricity to other parts of the world could use up most of the energy harnessed.

      It would also be extremely expensive and difficult to build and maintain such a large solar panel array, particularly in such a remote place.
