It is very competitive to get into university to study vetinary science. If you are keen and work hard though, there is no reason why you can’t get in and go on to become a vet.

You need to study Chemistry A Level, but the other subjects you need vary between universities, so you should look at what they require before you decide on your A level options. This is a little way off for you though!

Usually people have something on their CV to prove their enthusiasm about vet science, like some voluntary work, but you should ask people who work in the field to see what is most likely to benefit you.

Some of my friends were keen to become vets, and they found it hard to get in straight from school, but they found that doing some work in a related field for a year helped them and they got in the following year. So just remember that if you keep working hard towards your goal, you will make it there!

I don’t really know but if I was you I’d go to the local vet and ask them. And ask if they do any work experience. Good luck.
