Your hair grows from the root, so when you cut it you are only cutting the tips of the hairs off. These are dead and do not grow, they just get further from your head as the new hair grows at the root.

Missberney ur hair grows from head, the roots r in head. when u cut hairs, u cut them from top or the other end. Just like in ur gardening u shape the plant from top, but after sometime plant grow more n the shape u made is bit lost! this is because plant is growing from soil. So same is the case with ur hairs as well sweetie!

Hair is not alive like an arm or a leg or a stem on a plant and is actually dead tissue (no blood circulates to it and there are no nerves). The part of the hair that grows is under the skin (the folicle) and the dead part is pushed out and this is what we see. If we cut the hair the body doesn’t know about it and just keeps growing the hair from the folicle.
Its a myth that if you cut or shave hair it will grow back thicker or there will be more hair.
